Wrist Arthroscopy
Professional Wrist Arthroscopy by our hand surgical team
Wrist arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure and enables diagnosis and therapy for many pathologies of the wrist. Dr. Holger Erne and PD Dr. Kai Megerle are highly skilled and experienced in this area. Trauma to the hand often leads to the rupture of ligaments or lesions of the TFCC complex, which are important stabilization mechanisms of the hand.
An exact diagnosis by clinical examination, x-ray or MRI is very often not possible. Pain, instability and loss of function are not always present to the extent which correlates with the severity of the injury. Early diagnosis and treatment are vital to reconstruct damages and maintain the function of the hand. Many injuries which go on untreated lead to a degenerative arthritis and complete loss of function in the long run. Arthroscopy of the wrist by one of our experienced hand surgeon can help to diagnose and even treat many injuries of the wrist through minimally invasive techniques.
We will gladly inform you personally of all therapy options available during our consultation hours.
